Chief Executive Officer
As of 2007, Mr. Cox is Softier's President and Chief
Executive Officer.
Mr. Cox has been a member of the board of directors of Softier since November 2004. Mr. Cox retired from active corporate management in August 2000 and since September 2000 has maintained a relationship with Lightspeed Venture Partners where he works with portfolio companies in all aspects of organizational development and strategy.
Mr. Cox was an active member of management and chairman of the board of Quantum Effect Devices (QEDI), a fabless semiconductor company from July 1998 until August 2000. QEDI held its initial public offering in January 2000 and was acquired by PMC Sierra in August 2000.
Mr. Cox has more than 35 years experience in the high technology industry. During this time, he has served as a member of the board of directors of eleven corporations where he has been involved in three IPO's, two secondary offerings and six mergers. Prior to QEDI, Mr. Cox held senior management positions in several corporations including Intel Corporation and Texas Instruments.
In addition to Softier, Mr. Cox is chairman of the board of Nova Measuring Instruments (NVMI), a publicly traded semiconductor equipment company and a member of the board of Summit Microelectronics, a privately held fabless semiconductor company.
Eatamar Drory - Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Drory has more than 18 years of experience as a technology leader
with high tech companies, ranging from the areas of
product conception through to deployment. Mr. Drory was among the first engineers at Comverse Technology where he developed voice mail systems based on revolutionary DSP technology. He has founded several hi-tech companies, among them: SleepTrace, which developed an ambulatory device for the analysis of medical sleep disorders; DSpeech which developed a voice manipulation phone and Rhetorix, a company that developed the world's first open platform DSP based telephony card. Mr. Drory also co-founded Mediagate in 1996 to develop a leading Internet/telephony unified messaging system.
Mr. Drory holds multiple patents in computer telephony and communication. He
earned a BSEE Cum Laude from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel and a MSEE from Santa Clara University.
Haim Bechor - Vice President
of Marketing
Mr. Bechor first became involved in advanced communications systems when he served as a technical officer in the Intelligence Corps of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
There he designed microwave-based communication systems and microprocessor-based embedded controllers. In 1984, Mr. Bechor joined Comverse Technology as hardware department manager, a position that involved architecture design and DSP code development as well as supervision of Trilogue, Comverse's flagship product.
Following his tenure at Comverse, Mr. Bechor led a private consulting business that focused on fax store-and-forward solutions. He later established XpertLink, a high-tech marketing and technology consulting firm specializing in the field of communications and messaging. At XpertLink Mr. Bechor developed strategic plans and business relationships between foreign firms and Israeli and US-based technology leaders such as Gilat Satellite Communications and EMC.
Mr. Bechor also served as the CTO of MOST (Multimedia On-Line Service Technologies Consortium), a leading R&D project dedicated to developing broadband Internet infrastructure technology and content processing/delivery methods for Israel's most influential Internet companies.
Mr. Bechor holds a BSEE from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel.
Chen Landau - Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Chen Landau joined Softier in August 2005. He has more than 12 years of management experience in sales, marketing and business development in the areas of telecommunications, data communications and video transmission. Prior to joining Softier, Mr. Landau was Vice President EMEA and Latin America at BitBand, a provider of video servers for the IPTV space. Before joining BitBand, Mr. Landau served as director of European sales at Scopus Network Technologies, a provider of digital video compression solutions. Mr. Landau has also held marketing and sales management positions at BATM and ECI Telecom.
Mr. Landau holds an undergraduate degree in physics from Bar Ilan University and a M.A. in Electrical Sciences from Tel-Aviv University.
